Every morning Jane journeys to the alley to feed her favorite cats, but one morning a surprise visitor greets her. She discovers a wee rex and the two become great friends, that is until Jane takes wee rex to the museum and learns that dinosaurs are dangerous! As time pasts, Jane discovers that just because those dinos were mean doesn't mean her friend is too. This discovery leads Jane to not only fix her friendship, but also discover some new ones. Jane learns the importance of giving someone a chance despite what others say about them, and that the difference in each of us make us special.
